addis Gas and Plastics Factory, a member of the MIDROC Ethiopia Technology group, is registering a steady progress towards the satisfaction of its growing customers. The private limited company was established in July 2003, and has been restructured by upgrading its operational capacity to fully engage in producing gaseous and plastic products, as well as providing high pressure cylinder bottle testing and high pressure valve repairing services.

Transparent and participatory management approach coupled with the restructuring and assignment of competent staff have provided a healthy working environment that enabled productive elements to succeed in the day to day efforts.

Above all, policies and directives in line with modern business management have been instituted by the office of the Chief Executive Officer to nurture a conducive working environment in the company.

Steps have been taken to clean up the premises and renovate the building which long have been neglected to be repaired.

Workshop of the new injection modeling section, the gas cylinder store and the warehouse have been constructed/renovated. Moreover, new sales office, employees cafeteria, and offices for the protection personnel have been constructed and put to use.

Addis Gas & Plastics Factory, focusing on growth and expansion has installed a new ejection modeling machine, with a 255 ton production capacity. And the machine has already started to produce plastics products for use by MBI and other users.

In an effort to meet customers’ needs the company is taking unparalleled capacity building measures to enable it become second-to-none in gas and plastic industry in the country.

It also has a vision to engage in the production and distribution of other industrial products to diversify its activity. Nitrogen, argon and acetylene gas are among the diversification strategy of the company.

Introduction of various plastic products widely applicable to a number of industries engaged in telecom, power distribution, chemical processing, manufacturing and service giving etc are under study for further expansion.

Presently, addis Gas & Plastics Factory PLC has a total number of 120 permanent employees and 10 employees on secondment from TRUST Protection & Personnel Services.
