THE COMPUTER UNIT OF DAYLIGHT APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES PLC INAUGURATED

Daylight Applied Technologies (DAT) Computer Unit was inaugurated on September 8, 2005 by Ato Woulderuphael W/Giorgies, Assistant Chief Executive Officer of MIDROC Ethiopi a at DAT Compound. Present at the ceremony were General Managers of the eleven companies organized under the office of the CEO, representatives of the Public Relations Services, employees and Management of Daylight and Staff members of CEO’s office.

During the inaugural ceremony, Ato Tsegaye Habtehimer, Deputy General Manager of Daylight Applied Technologies PLC, said that since its establishment the unit has successfully completed its networking activities at the office of the CEO and Main Office of Kombolcha Steel Products Industries plc (KOSPI).

Daylight imported the first batch of components to assemble 100 computers. The Deputy General Manager said that the Computer Unit assembled and delivered 30 pcs to the MIDROC Technology Group companies. He added, it is one more step forward by the company. Moreover, Ato Tsegaye, expressed his appreciation to Dr. Arega for the contribution the latter made to the success of the company.

Finally, Ato Woulderuphael together with the group, were invited for a guided tour to the Daylight’s Computer Unit. The visiting group was briefed about the progress of the DAT Computer Unit. At the end of the visit Ato Woulderephel W.Giorgis appreciated the efforts of the management and employees and urged them to do more to attain better results. Daylight has an expansion plan to manufacture and assemble television, radio, call phones and related wares, white goods such as refrigerators, water heaters, and photocopy machines, typewriters, printers, scanners, air conditioners and related electrical items.
