MIDROC  Gold,  a  member  of  the MIDROC  Ethiopia Technology  Group companies, has  received  a special award  and  certificate  following  the  recognition  of  its  outstanding  performance  in  the  year  2008, among  export  customers  of the Commercial  Bank  of  Ethiopia.

The  award  was  presented  to  Company Director of Finance, Ato Henok Sefere, representing Dr. Arega Yirdaw, MIDROC Ethiopia CEO and General Manager of MIDROC Gold, by  H.E Ato  Abay Tsehaye, Board Chairman of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia at a workshop held at Sheraton Addis on February 24,2009.

MIDROC Gold, which is owned by Sheik Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi, is the only industrial scale gold mine in Ethiopia.
