The Ethiopian Government awarded Sheik Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi, the owner and Chairman of MIDROC Ethiopia, with the ‘First Special Millennium Gold Medal’ for his exemplary deeds for the development of Ethiopia and its people.

During the awarding ceremony, Prime Minister H.E. Ato Meles Zenawi said Sheik Mohammed is elected as “Special Millennium Person” since the businessman has practically proved his love and sympathy for Ethiopia and its people. Ato Meles said Sheik Mohammed has been launching various investment projects in Ethiopia, even without proving the profitability of the projects, due to his love and sympathy for the country and for the peoples of the nation.

Meanwhile Sheik Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi has received two awards as "The Greatest Ethiopian Investor of the Millennium" and “Man of the Millennium” from MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Groups and Honor Ethiopia respectively for his extraordinary deeds.
