KOSPI produces Galvanized Corrugated Sheets which are used for roofing and fencing, with length up to 3.66 meters and thickness of:

• 0.20mm (USG-35)
• 0.25mm (USG-32)
• 0.32mm (USG-30) and
• 0.40mm (USG-28)

For smooth overlap and alignment during installation, edges of Corrugated Sheets must be protected against damage.

KOSPI, being the only fully automated line for ribbed steel manufacturing industry in Ethiopia, produces Ribbed Steel Sheets of excellent edge and surface finish quality for roofing and wall cladding of industries, factory buildings, warehouses and residential buildings.

Ribbed Sheets are manufactured from galvanized or colored pre-coated sheets.

• K300 (3 ribs), K500 (5 ribs), K600 (6 ribs)
• Thickness from 0.3mm up to 0.8mm
• Length from 1m up to 12m

Ribbed sheets shall be installed using J-bolt or self-tapping screws. Nails shall not be used; and no hammering. For smooth overlap and alignment during installation, edges of Ribbed Steel Sheets must be protected against damage.

KOSPI produces strong, center-headed and nicely polished wire nails with lengths ranging from 20mm up to 150mm. The Factory has the capacity of producing 600 quintals of nails per week. Each package of KOSPI Nails, identified by the print “TOUGH KOSPI NAILS” contains 5 kgs.

Nails of various sizes are used to join or anchor materials, primarily wood and other building materials. They are essential in carpentry & construction works. Smaller size nails are used for ceiling and furniture works. To prevent corrosion, KOSPI Nails shall not be exposed to moisture.

KOSPI manufactures galvanized Bolts and Metallic Washers with the standard lengths of 200mm, 250mm and 300mm, which are used to fasten ribbed sheets to roof structure, to wall-cladding structures or to other similar structures. The Factory also manufactures J-bolts in various lengths based on customers' request.

KOSPI J-bolts are packed in 200 sets. A set contains 1 J-bolt, 1 nut, 1 flat washer and 1 plastic washer.

KOSPI manufactures galvanized or black Binding Wires with wire diameter from 0.8mm up to 4.5mm, and a standard roll weight of 25 Kg. Binding wires are mainly used to join reinforcement bars for concrete works.

Chain Links are used for fencing and to cover walls where ventilation is required. KOSPI Chain Link wires are Electro galvanized, and are available with the following sizes:

• Pitch sizes: 39mm, 45mm, 57mm, 65mm, 72mm, 86mm, 113mm & 142mm
• Standard rolls: 1.5m or 2m wide and 25m long
• Standard wire diameters: 2.0mm, 2.24mm and 2.5mm

Based on customer request, KOSPI manufactures a variety of wire diameters from 0.8mm up to 3.5mm. Length and width of roll can be adjusted to customers' special requirement.

KOSPI produces Hexagonal wire netting which are used for chicken houses, to cover windows where ventilation is required and is also used as binding materials on concrete wall plastering.

Two types of hexagonal wire netting are available with pitch size of 1” and 1/2”.

Hexagonal wire nettings are manufactured from 0.6mm diameter galvanized wires. Each roll covers 1.8 meters by 30 meters area.

KOSPI manufactures electro-galvanized barbed wires with standard Wire diameter of 2.24mm and standard bundle weights of 10kg, 15kg and 20kg.

Barbs are used to stop people and large animals from crossing the fence. Building fence using barbed wire is less costly.

KOSPI is currently the only company producing wood screws in Ethiopia.

The Factory manufactures nine different sizes (diameter in mm x length in mm) of wood screws (3.2 x 20, 3.2 x 25, 3.78 x 30, 3.78 x 45, 3.78 x 55, 4.5 x 50, 4.5 x 55, 4.5 x 65 and 4.5 x 70)

Wood Screws are used to fasten wood, for furniture and other purposes.

KOSPI manufactures U-Nails, which are used to install fences of wire meshes, chain links and barbed wires on wooden poles. Standard U-Nails are manufactured from 2.24mm diameter galvanized wires, wire diameters can be increased up to 4mm.

Shoe Tacks are fabricated from black steel wires. Each KOSPI Shoe Tack packet weighs 470 grams and contains Shoe Tacks of 2cm long. Shoe Tacks are used for ceiling works and for other works requiring smaller size nails.

KOSPI manufactures engineered products for any service requested by customers regarding steel structure and sheet metal works.

This includes the production of Steel Poles, Steel Structures (Towers, warehouses, Factories, etc.), Fuel and Water Tankers, Canopies and other custom based engineering products.

KOSPI has installed a Structural-Hot-Dip Galvanization Plant at Akaki, being the first of its kind in Ethiopia. KOSPI will provide Structural-Hot-Dip-Galvanization service to customers.

Armed with our profound engineering capability, we design, fabricate, and galvanize various types of structural products, such as Electric Power Transmission Towers, Microwave Towers, Radio Antenna Towers, Steel Bridges, Scaffolds, U-Cross arms etc.

Our Structural-Hot-Galvanization-Plant has a capacity of galvanizing about 10,000 Metric Tones of steel structures annually.

KOSPI obtains packing materials, RHS and Angle Iron, and Saw Dust from the local market (including WANZA Furnishings Industries PLC, a member of the MIDROC Ethiopia Technology-Group); whereas Annealed and un-annealed GP Coils, Steel Pipes, Wire Rods, U-Channels, Steel tubes, Spare Parts and Chemicals are imported from overseas.
