Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) gave the 2010 Distinguished Alumni Award to Dr. Arega Yirdaw, who is the first African Award Recipient and the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of the eighteen MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Group Companies, at the ceremony held at Sheraton Addis on the 24th of January 2011 for his leadership qualities and capabilities.
This colorful award celebration was honored by the presence of President John Ryan of CCL and other staffs from CCL who travelled from USA to Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, and Higher Government Officials. President Ryan on his official speech stated that this Alumni Award is to recognize the wonderful accomplishments and continuing growth and development of Dr. Arega’s leadership qualities and to motivate and inspire other leaders in the region in particular and in the world in general.

The CCL Team, he added, has been training leaders to help its clients from different parts of the World over for the last 40 years to find solutions to the Challenges they confront while discharging their leadership duties and responsibilities. Besides, according to the president, the Center has so far awarded the twelve tip tops of the world leaders including Dr. Arega Yirdaw. Who has successfully managed to lead numerous the MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Group Companies for the last ten years.
Dr. Arega, on his part, attributed his success as a CEO of MIDROC Ethiopia to the wonderful and dedicated guidance and support of his Chairman Sheik Mohammed Hussein Ali Al-Amoudi and who has provides all rounded support and assistance to the Ethiopia People. Furthermore, he added this Award is the testimony of the support and dedication rendered to him by the hardworking management members and employees of the MIDROC Ethiopia Technology Group Companies.
This multicolored Awarding Ceremony has been attended by Higher Government Officials, MIDROC Ethiopia High Ranking Management Bodies, Invited Guests from different Institutions in the City, CEO Higher Officials, and family members of the Award Winner.
