Daylight Commences Bottle Production

Daylight Applied Technologies PLC has commenced producing a range of bottles and launched its first sale on July 12 /2010 at its premises. On the occasion of the commencement of soft drinks bottles sale, MIDROC Ethiopia CEO Dr. Arega Yirdaw along with Moha Soft Drinks Factory General Manager Getachew Birbo and other senior officials has paid expository visit to the factory that has helped inspect its organization and bottle production process. It is well recognized that Daylight was engaged in the production of produced fluorescent and Sara lamps earlier. But later on the factory started producing new items following the decision made by the CEO to convert the factory into bottle producing one. To this effect, modern machineries were installed to help the factory bring about the desired change based on quality and quantity of production. CEO Dr. Arega on the occasion said, "After relentless effort and additional investment, we have come up with satisfactory results and we are really proud of it." |

He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to MIDROC Ethiopia Chairman and investor Sheik Mohammed Hussien Ali Al-Amoudi and employees of the company. Admiring the effort made so far for the success of the company, Ato Getachew Birbo, on his part stated that believe that the company would provide a range of customers with quality products when it starts producing bottles in full swing. Towards the end of the event, factory General Manager Tsegaye Habtihyimer in his statement said that the CEO management has contributed a lot for the successful journey of the company. The factory which uses almost 99 per cent of local raw materials for production has a capacity of producing 36,000 and 11,000,000 bottles within a day and per annum respectively in three shifts. Some 140 workers are engaged in producing bottles and it is believed that the factory will create job opportunities for 210 additional workers when it goes fully operational. |
